About Me

Simge Pehlivan

I enjoy creating innovative and aesthetic designs that are both user-friendly and functional. By focusing on user needs, I aim to design products that truly make a difference. My problem-solving skills and attention to detail help me carefully guide each step of the design process. For me, design is not only a career but also a continuous journey of learning and growth.

2017
I began my academic journey with a one-year intensive English preparation program, which laid a strong foundation for my language skills.
2018
I started my undergraduate studies in Industrial Product Design, officially stepping into the world of creative design.
2019
I studied at the New York Language Center during my summer vacation to strengthen my language education. This experience improved my English skills in an international environment and gave me a broader cultural perspective.
2020
I completed my production internship at Kamas Kalıp, where I gained hands-on experience with plastic injection molding and deepened my understanding of manufacturing methods.
2021
I completed my Industrial Design internship at Erler Design, which supports furniture manufacturers. Later, my teammate and I won first prize in the "Aircraft Seat Design and Engineering Competition" organized by TSI Seats. I also joined a European Union–supported workshop on safety in children's clothing, which gave me valuable experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
2022
I collaborated with Fantom on my graduation project and joined the Ankara Design Workshop, an event with participants from 13 universities, where I gained experience working with peers from diverse backgrounds. The same year, I graduated in Industrial Product Design and completed a UX course.
2023
To better showcase my skills, I revised my Product Design Portfolio and also completed a Web Design course, expanding my knowledge into the digital design field.
2024
I moved to the Netherlands for a year to gain diverse experiences, where I completed IxDF’s Design for the 21st Century with Don Norman course with a Best in Class Distinction. I also interned at RELAYTO, a global B2B SaaS startup, as part of the content team, where I designed and transformed documents with a focus on interactivity and brand identity while gaining valuable international experience.
